Tracy's new role at paramedic organisation

Tracy Nicholls Head of Clinical Quality

A "unique blend of professionalism" has helped our Head of Clinical Quality Tracy Nicholls secure a top Board role at the College of Paramedics.

From today (1st September), Tracy is a vice chair of the College of Paramedics, joining the other vice-chair and deputy chair with specific responsibilities to oversee the Board’s business objectives. She’ll be taking this prestigious role on alongside her current clinical quality post here at EEAST.

Our Director of Clinical Quality, Sandy Brown, said: "We're really pleased for Tracy and know she'll be fantastic in this role. To have a representative from EEAST at this level is great news for our trust as well, and I know everyone joins me in thanking Tracy for her continued efforts in putting clinical excellence at the heart of our work."

Professor Andy Newton, Chair of the College of Paramedics said they were "delighted" that Tracy had been appointed: "She is a long-standing member of the College who has served on firstly the Governing Council and more latterly the Board as the representative for the East of England.  Tracy has led important projects including sepsis awareness and education and brings a unique blend of professionalism and experience to this new position."

Gerry Egan, College Chief Executive, added: "We are indeed fortunate to have had so many high quality candidates for this position which proved to be an extremely competitive process. The establishment of this additional Vice-Chair position demonstrates the College’s ability to expand its management resources as its membership continues to grow."

Congratulations Tracy!
