Staff have been highly commended in EEAST’s latest survey which has included comments such as: ‘very professional’, ‘absolutely brilliant’, and ‘amazing’.
Almost 100 respondents in the east who received emergency treatment in February completed questionnaires, with 100% either satisfied, or very satisfied with the care they received.
In addition, 100% of respondents say that the staff who attended them were very professional with a patient from south Bedfordshire saying: “The staff that treated me are a credit to the ambulance service.”
Other questions that scored 100% were the appearance of staff, cleanliness of equipment, and cleanliness of the interior of ambulances which were all responded to as acceptable. Also, 96% of respondents rated the handling of their call as either very acceptable, acceptable, or fairly acceptable.
A respondent from west Essex said: “The staff were absolutely brilliant and made my mother feel at ease, they were fantastic and their friendliness came over so well.”
Another patient from west Suffolk said: “The staff were very professional, very caring and polite; very, very good.”
Robert Morton, EEAST Chief Executive, said: “I’m delighted to see that despite the increasing pressures we are facing, we are still able to deliver such a high standard of care, and these comments are a testament to that.”
