Trust joins healthcare job expo for new recruits

Blurred ambulance

No potential candidate is being left undiscovered thanks to the Trust’s latest drive to get more people on the ambulance front line.

As part of our plan to recruit 150 intermediate practitioners (IP) and 150 associate ambulance practitioners (AAP), the recruitment team have been travelling far and wide to healthcare events to talk to people who are keen to join the NHS.

The Health Sector Jobs Expo in Dublin last month (23rd April) was visited by more than 2,000 healthcare professionals – and we were the first ambulance service to be represented there.

Recruitment Manager Denise Stedman said: “Our stand attracted some very positive and interesting enquiries from health sector colleagues who were looking to broaden their employment prospects.

“I’d like to say a big thank you to Higher Education and Clinical Practice Manager Paul Lewis, Senior Training Delivery Manager Andy Reid, and Senior Recruitment Administrator Robert Carter, who joined me on the day and engaged in a very positive and professional manner with the many visitors.

“We are now following up with everyone who registered an interest with us on the day.”

Recruiting patient facing staff will enable us to respond to more patients in the community, relieve the pressure on existing colleagues, and offer more opportunities for career development here at EEAST.

Know someone who you think might want to join the EEAST team? All our opportunities are available on the NHS Jobs website, and you can also support by retweeting from our official @EastEnglandAmb and @EEAST_Jobs Twitter accounts.
