Trust staff honoured in EDP thank you evening

EDP flood heroes night December 2014

Crews and officers were honoured on Friday evening (5th December) by the Eastern Daily Press (EDP) for our response to the floods in Norfolk a year ago.

The evening at Drayton Hall, Norwich, celebrated emergency responses a year to the day that coastal communities were hit by the extreme weather.

Matthew Broad, Locality Director for Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, was interviewed on-stage by EDP Editor Nigel Pickover, alongside the chief fire officer and the deputy chief constable for Norfolk, and recounted the Trust’s response.

Matthew said: “It was brilliant to see our staff publicly recognised and to have the opportunity to talk about how we played our part in a successful emergency service response. The service was also praised for the progress we have made this year, which was brilliant to see.”
