Trust Update from Dorothy Hosein, CEO - 22nd June

Video transcript: Dorothy Hosein, Chief Executive video update on 22nd June 2020

Hello colleagues, you’ll have seen that COVID cases are decreasing and that’s wonderful, however it’s still out there.

But overall, activity is increasing and that’s as people begin to get back to normal and what we’re seeing is that Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday are pretty much back to the levels that we would expect it to be and so there is a lot of work out there and we are very, very busy but great that we are achieving all the national standards still - well done you. Thank you is much.

Violence and aggression I just wanted to bring up with you. We have seen some cases, and again that comes down to, as our communities begin to get back to, well, normal, unfortunately these levels begin to go up. Sadly, you will have see over the weekend in Reading the stabbing that took place in a park and it’s so horrific, it’s really hard to understand how something like that could happen but I just wanted to mention violence and aggression. We will not put up with that in this service. It is not something that you should have to put up with, I want you to know that.

Antibody testing. Well, we’re nearly there. Wednesday and Thursday this week we will see the completion for most of our folks and then we’ll have done everybody. So, that’s wonderful news.

I know it’s Armed Forces Week this week and I want to say a huge thank you to all of those from the armed forces who work with us. Some who have retired and have come to work with us substantively, but those who came to work with us recently as drivers and PTS helpers and all sorts of things, volunteered in all sorts of ways.

A huge thank you, it’s a great privilege to work with you and I want to say thank you again and come back anytime we need you because that would be great.

I look forward to speaking to you again in a couple of days. Bye!

Dorothy Hosein,
Chief Executive
