Update from Sandy Brown - 20th August

Exec Sandy Brown New OPT

We’ve been out and about again this week as our clinical visits have gotten underway; we’ll be making our way around the entire patch over the next few months to talk to you about what we’re focusing on clinically this year, and listening to what you have to say about it.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to speak to the team at Colchester and Bedford office/EOC; amongst other things concerns were raised about the tracked carry chairs, personal development reviews and some specific medicines – thank you for your honesty in talking to us. Now we can try to make things better and allay some of those worries you have. I’d be interested to hear if these are issues you’ve also found in your area – as mentioned we’ll be coming to a station near you to speak in person, but please feel free to leave a comment below in the meantime.

One problem we found from our side was that no one knew very much about what our clinical priorities are for this year, so I’ve talked about it a bit more in a separate article - please do have a read when you get time.

Our new Chief Executive Robert Morton will be starting with us in just a few days; in his first few weeks he’ll be coming out to meet and talk to as many of you as he can, so please do extend him a warm welcome. In the meantime I hope you have a good week, stay safe (particularly those of you working at V Festival this weekend), and take care.

Sandy
