Upgrade for MDT units

Following feedback from staff, Terrafix has developed software to fix some of the issues with the new MDT regional model. This software update now needs to be accepted on each vehicle. 

When you next log off you may get a message saying:  “There are updates pending.  Can these updates be applied now?” 

Please click “Yes”.   

The MDT will shut down and apply the software, which takes about two minutes, and then reboot. This will allow you or the next person to sign on as usual. 

The issues being fixed by this update include:

  • reduce the number of message bleeps to five
  • navigator route being  ON by default
  • auto-zoom being ON by default
  • the availability of message templates
  • the SATNAV route colour is set to BLUE. 

Please be aware that it may take up to 24-hours from the time of update for these changes to be in place.
