Urgent calls booked by health care practitioners

Staff are reminded that if you are dispatched to an urgent call, these calls have been booked by a Health Care Practitioner (HCP) for admission. Therefore we are not able to cancel them.

If the patient’s condition has changed, please contact the referring HCP to discuss the referral or arrange an alternative care pathway or transport in to the hospital. 

The Clinical Advice Line will not discharge care with these patient unless there are exceptional circumstances.
