Urgent care consultation

An eight-week consultation on future access to services in west Hertfordshire is underway.

Users of the urgent treatment centre and West Hertfordshire Medical Centre in Hemel Hempstead Hospital will have their say on plans for both services which are part of a new approach that takes into account developments in health services nationally and locally and is line with the commissioning group’s Your Care, Your Future aims.

The results of the consultation will determine GP-led services on the Hemel Hempstead Hospital site and feed into the development of the strategic outline case for an integrated health facility in Hemel Hempstead. One decision is on the opening hours for the urgent treatment centre, which has operated on reduced hours since December 2016.

Clearly decisions made about the community’s health services has an impact on how our services are used as well – so if you live or work in the area, please take the time to visit www.hertsvalleysccg.nhs.uk/urgentcareconsultation  by 28th March.
