URGENT Product Recall: Tiger Eye Protection

Tiger Eye Protection

The Department of Health and Social Care is recalling a specific item of eye protection and removing this from the NHS supply chain.


The eye protection recalled does not meet the current requirement for splash protection in BSN 166 (including certain testing requirements documented in BSN 168).  As a result, the product should not be used in a COVID-19 setting.


A picture of the product is shown above. You will be aware that these products are self-assembly.

Product Codes PG0001 – F and PG0001 – K
Barcode for frames: 6948548400224
NPC for Frames (BTP083 and BTP403) and Lenses (BTP097, BTP404 and BTP439)

Could staff who have any of these items, or find them on a trust vehicle, please return them to station to be isolated.

Any within stores need to be removed and clearly labelled, “DO NOT USE” and await collection over the coming weeks.
