Volunteer training recommences with record size courses

cfr back to training

The Commercial and CFR Training Team have just delivered the largest courses to date for CFRs in Norwich and Essex. This was made possible by the dedicated CFR volunteers who were prepared to attend a mid-week course and complete the brand new online learning package to help reduce training facing days.

As COVID-19 restrictions have been eased by the government, we took advantage of a unique opportunity - available trainers over the summer months, eager and willing volunteers and venues with space! Thank you, Hellesdon High School and Writtle College for the latter.

Lastly, and by no means least, we were very grateful to have CFR Volunteer Trainers; Mick Favager, Chris Cheetham, Ron Ridge and Martin Richards to help us with the course. They were fundamental in helping us support the large amount of CFR learners.

This is the start of returning to the new normal for volunteer training. We will endeavour to engage with our existing volunteers and new recruits in the training opportunities that currently exist. This will be through on-line training on Evolve and face to face training in COVID secure premises.

A very big thank you to the training team and all the volunteers!

Vikki Darby CFR Supervisor and Andy Shreeve Senior Commercial Trainer and Lead IQA.
