Wellbeing Hub launches new Champions and TRiM practitioners

Norwich Champions

The Wellbeing Hub is here for all staff, volunteers and students working at EEAST.  It is a confidential, one-stop-shop set up by staff for staff to cover any wellbeing need, whether physical, mental, emotional, spiritual or relationship based, however large or small. If you feel like something is affecting your overall, everyday wellbeing, then it may well be.  The team are here to help, they will listen to any request and help, advise, signpost wherever appropriate.

The team is now made up of the wellbeing manager, four wellbeing support officers, and a part-time administrator.  The team are at the end of a phone, or can be visited in their office in Bedford. The Wellbeing Hub itself will be building a ‘library’ and will offer a quiet space for any staff to sit, read or talk whenever they feel the need.  Keep an eye out on Need to Know for more Wellbeing Hub news coming soon.

The Wellbeing Hub Team is thrilled to announce the launch of the Wellbeing Hub Champions.  The champions are a peer support network which will initially operate in the three EOCs, they will have had some basic mental health/wellbeing training and know what to look out for, what services the Hub offers, and how to signpost to us.  They will provide a first port of call - a ‘listening ear’ - and then make contact with the Hub for further support if necessary. Here are some photos of our Hub champions in Norwich, Bedford and Chelmsford, ready to lend a friendly ear.

We are also happy to announce the increase of our Trauma Risk Management (TRiM) practitioners team to nearly 200.  TRiM is going from strength to strength, and is not just for managers to refer.  Anyone who feels that they could benefit from a TRiM assessment only needs to complete a TRiM Referral Form or contact The Wellbeing Hub.

Don’t forget you can access Wellbeing Hub resources from EAST 24. The Hub is available at any time on 01234 243 060 or email us wellbeing.info@nhs.net.  Your contact will always be confidential unless there is any potential risk involved.
