What is the death in benefits scheme?

Ambulance line up blue sky

When losing someone close to you, having some extra support can be greatly needed.

With the recent death of a much-loved colleague in mind, the Trust would like to make you aware of the death in benefits scheme.

The scheme is set up to give payment to a family member, or nominated person, of a member of staff who dies whilst employed with the Trust and is a member of the scheme.

It only requires a small donation, equivalent to a one-off payment of one hour’s pay of basic salary, in the unfortunate event of a member registered on the scheme passing away.

For more information or for the registration form to apply, please visit East24.

If you have any questions regarding the death in benefits scheme please contact a member of the HR services team by email on hrservices@eastamb.nhs.uk  or by phone on 01234 243200.
