‘Wonderful’, ‘first class’ and ‘superb’: colleagues praised by patients

Blurred ambulance

Patient satisfaction rates are up again with 98% saying that they were very satisfied, satisfied or fairly satisfied with the overall service they received.

More than 100 people who used our emergency ambulance service in April completed the questionnaire to rate the care they received.

Figures from the latest patient experience report reveal that 98% of respondents rated the handling of their call as very acceptable, acceptable or fairly acceptable, and 98% said the length of time they waited for a response as very acceptable, acceptable or fairly acceptable.

Ninety-six percent added that they were very or fairly involved in decisions made regarding their care.

Some of the comments included saying that colleagues and the service were ‘excellent’, ‘very professional’ and ‘first class’.

Patients wrote:

  • ‘Wonderful workers, always a smile and comforting’, west Suffolk
  • ‘I felt safe and confident within their care’, Hertfordshire
  • ‘Always been treated with respect, dignity and kindness’, west Norfolk
  • ‘They all do a wonderful job’, Essex.

Robert Morton, Chief Executive, said: “I’m delighted with this latest report which again demonstrates the excellent care and compassion you deliver every day. Our patient satisfaction ratings remain extremely high, despite the increased demand and pressure placed on the service.

“I’d like to thank all of you, both staff and volunteers, for your hard work.”
