Wound Closure sessions

Learning from incidents

Royal College of Nursing (RCN) accredited wound closure update sessions will be taking place across the Trust in 2019.

They're aimed at wound closure paramedics, specialist paramedics (Urgent Care) and ECPs and will be delivered by staff from Advanced Medical Solutions, our tissue adhesive provider.

Where possible, each location will also have a Tissue Viability Nurse Specialist to deliver a session on best practice skin tear management alongside.

Sessions last around 2 hours and will involve theory, practice and skills certification. Each session will be for 10-15 staff.
