Free wellbeing training for managers – last few places

There are only a few places left for the Blue Light manager training programme, which is a national initiative that aims to better support the mental health of people working in the emergency services.

Funded by the cabinet office and run by mental health charity Mind, one of the aims of the programme is to develop managers and supervisors to better support their staff in the workplace.

The training course covers:

•   an introduction to mental health in the workplace

•   Mind’s framework for creating mentally healthy workplaces

•   embedding positive approaches to mental health

•   recognising the signs of mental ill-health and how to approach with support

•   supporting colleagues living with or experiencing a mental health problem

•   supporting a return to work after an absence

•   facilitating peer support in the workplace.

Managers from all areas of the Trust are welcome to attend – places are left on the following courses:

  • 3rd November, 9.30am, St Andrews Church, Kimbolton Road Bedford MK40 2PF
  • 9th November, 1pm, Watford
  • 10th November, 9.30am, Melbourn HART base
  • 17th November, 9.30am, Ocean House Peterborough (upstairs training room)     

Each course has 15 places available and these will be reserved on a first-come-first-served basis. You will need gain the support of your line manager to attend.
