Nurse revalidation – have you been contacted?

Tying surgical apron

All nurses and midwives will have to revalidate to maintain their registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

Taking effect from April next year, revalidation is straightforward and will help nurses and midwives demonstrate that they practise safely and effectively.

There are a small number of nurses here at EEAST who will be affected, and although it’s the responsibility of each individual to make sure they revalidate, we’re be working closely with those staff to make sure they’re fully supported.

If you’re NMC registered and work for the Trust, you should have now received a letter in the post from us about the revalidation. If not, please contact hrservices@eastamb.nhs.uk at the earliest opportunity so we can make sure you’re include in future communications.

The NMC has also produced some ‘how to do revalidation’ guidance to help people go through the process – click here to download the booklet.
