Reminder: Be extra vigilant on security at stations and offices

Side of RRV with lozenge

There have been several incidents reported recently where members of the public appear to have been paying an unusually high amount of interest at some of our Ambulance Stations. Their purpose is unknown but it could relate to potential criminal activity.

As some of the stations that have reported this kind of activity store Medical Gases and/or fuel, it could be that these people are collecting information relating to our methods of storage and/or deliveries.  Or it could be something entirely different – and your help in preventing any criminal activity taking place is requested.

Staff are asked to be extra vigilant at all stations and to ensure that all recently issued security advice is adhered to.

If anyone spots a person(s) who appears to be taking more than a passing interest in a Trust premise, please ensure you get as much detail as possible – including car registration, make and model; a description of the person(s), including any distinguishing features (if possible, take a discreet photo on your phone).    The more information you can give, the better.  Report any suspicious activity immediately to your DLO or via EOC to the Local Security Management Specialist or On Call Tactical Advisor.

Please don’t compromise your own safety.

By being extra vigilant you will be protecting yourself and your colleagues.

BE ALERT.  STAY SAFE.
