Taking a patient directly to a ward?

Staff with patient on stretcher at accident and emergency

As a gentle reminder, when conveying a patient directly to a hospital ward please remember to press the ‘other’ button rather than the ‘A&E’ one on the MDT.

For example, if attending Addenbrookes Neuro Critical Care Unit, please select “Addenbrookes other” on the MDT rather than “Addenbrookes A&E”. The same goes for all hospitals.

This is so the HALOs and triage nurses do not have to track the vehicle down and remove it from their system, and means we aren’t fined unfairly for handover times.
