Talking all things ‘volunteer’ at engagement event

Volunteers from all three disciplines of the Trust’s schemes gathered at the Belfry in Cambourne on Saturday (16th January) to talk strategy, support, and issues with senior leaders.

More than 140 community first responders, Trust User Group members and patient transport drivers had the chance to make new acquaintances and share common views.

Chief Executive Robert Morton and Acting Director of Service Delivery Rob Ashford led the three-hour morning session, gaining feedback about what works well, what doesn’t, and what the volunteers would do if they were in their shoes.

The delegates were joined by community partnership managers, the non-emergency team, and performance managers. Volunteers could also visit stands set up by safeguarding, patient and public involvement, Trust Chaplain Lynda Logan, and external organisations.

A big thank you to everyone involved in the event, and to everyone for making the effort to travel from the four corners of the region to attend.
