Acting medical director

We are pleased to announce that, whilst we continue our recruitment process for a permanent appointment, Dr Tom Davis has taken up the role of Acting Medical Director.

This follows the departure of Interim Medical Director Dr Andy Carson, who left EEAST earlier this month. 

Tom, whose substantive post is as our Deputy Medical Director, joined the Trust in February. 

This week, Chief Executive Robert Morton shared his thanks to Dr Carson: “We have been extremely lucky to have had Andy’s support over the past 18-months, and on behalf of the Trust I’d like to express our thanks for his work and expertise. 

“I’m very grateful to Tom for taking up an Acting Medical Director role whilst we continue our recruitment process. This is another positive step as we look to put in place a stable and permanent leadership team that will drive forward patient care.”
