Additional funding confirmed

As mentioned in Anthony Marsh’s update last week, the Trust is in line for approximately £2million in additional funding to help us deal with winter seasonal pressures.

This is EEAST’s share of £18m for ambulance services in England. The money is allocated on the basis of 999 call volumes and it must be used to support the ambulance service on the basis of plans that must balance specific actions to address current system pressures.
