Anonymous helpline for reporting missing medicines launched

Yellow kit bag

Last month Need to Know reported that more medicines were going missing across the Trust.

We told you that the EEAST was hoping to introduce a medicines helpline for you to anonymously report any missing medicine or drug concerns – and we’re pleased to say it’s now up and running.

You can call the medicines management helpline on:

0845 602 6872

When you call you’ll be able to leave an anonymous message on the answerphone that a member of the team will then follow up. You can use the number to raise concerns or whistleblow about potential missing or misused drugs.

Any actual incidents should still also be reported via Datix in the usual way.
