Cambridgeshire has moved!

HEOC dispatcher

We’re pleased to say that on Thursday morning (7th August) Cambridgeshire was successfully moved back under the direction of Norwich EOC as planned.

This means that as of 7am this morning all dispatching, call handling and other EOC duties for Cambridgeshire is centralised in Norwich EOC; previously the call-handling for Cambridgeshire was done in Norwich with the dispatching completed in Bedford EOC.

Thanks to excellent hard work and planning by the relocation team, who have more than 40 years collective EOC knowledge between them, the move went according to plan and the transition ran smoothly.

The move brings Cambridgeshire in line with the new regional localities; Norwich EOC looks after Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, Bedford EOC continues to work with Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, and Chelmsford EOC handles Essex.

Within Norwich EOC there will now be two dispatching desks specifically for the Cambridgeshire area – one for north and one for south.

Note: please be aware that Cambridgeshire call-signs will be changing tomorrow (Friday, 8th August) from having a B prefix to a N prefix, i.e.BA873 will be NA873; if this is going to impact you, you should have received advice from the relocation team already, but you can contact cambsrelocationQ&A@eastamb.nhs.uk if you do have any queries.
