The life-saving work of community first responders will be celebrated next week.

There are hundreds of CFR groups across the region and the Trust will be highlighting their efforts during National Volunteers’ Week between the 1st and 7th June.

During CFR takeover week, the important work of our volunteers will be celebrated and members of the public will be urged to sign-up to help groups in their communities.

The communications team will be promoting the work of CFRs during the week through the Trust’s Twitter and Facebook accounts and media outlets.

Some of the events planned so far by community partnership managers, include:

• open evening on Wednesday 3rd June from 6-8pm at Letchworth ambulance station.

• open evening on Thursday 4th June at the Bedford EOC from 6-8pm.

• event all day at the Forum in Norwich on 4th June.

• Bishop Stortford CFRs stand in the Jackson Square Shopping Centre from 9am on Friday 5th June.

• Potter Heigham CFR group event from 10am to midday at Hickling Barn on Saturday 6th June where they will be demonstrating effective CPR.

This year, CFR takeover week is celebrating the different walks of life our volunteers come from.
