Changes are coming to Ipswich Hospital's stroke pathway

From Monday (22nd May), the way you activate the stroke team at Ipswich hospital is changing.

If you are with a suspected stroke patient, you will now need to call a dedicated number to speak to the stroke team.

In essence, crews will have a telephone consultation with a dedicated Stroke nurse, as opposed to the emergency phone in the emergency department. It is expected, this will be a more effective stroke response.

This new number will be available Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.
