The capacity to consent policy has been recently updated and is available on East24.
Some of the updated changes include use of restraint, guidance for staff when assessing capacity and a checklist to protect staff from liability under the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
There is information around capacity to consent in the clinical manual.
If you are with a patient and have any queries, please call the clinical advice line.
