Choose where our new 1,000 defibs go!

1000 AED project

The Trust has launched an ambitious project to save more lives in the region by funding 1,000 new defibrillators – and we need your help in identifying locations for this life-saving equipment.

The Trust is aware of more than 300 defibrillators in place across the region that can be accessed by a member of staff or the public when a person goes into cardiac arrest.

We are now looking for new locations across our six counties for the 1,000 Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), such as care homes, sports centres, schools, libraries and other high priority call areas to assist in helping save lives in local communities.

The first 250 AEDs are almost ready to be sent out and the intention will be to start distribution this month.

The project to distribute the equipment is being led by the Trust’s community partnership team, so please contact your local manager, who will then make contact with the site to see if they are interested in receiving one.

News on the final locations and launches will be published in Need to Know in the coming months!
