Since the Bedfordshire pilot, the ePCR system has been through an extended period of testing and evaluation for the newly released Siren Nova app (version 5.1.0) on iOS version 14.6.
As a result, the Siren Nova ePCR system went live in Cambridge and Peterborough on Tuesday 29th June, with Addenbrooke's, Hinchingbrooke, Papworth and Peterborough City hospitals using the real-time inbound patient information system Siren Notification Board (SNB).
A total of 399 ePCRs were created using Siren Nova across the Trust in the initial 24 hours of Cambridge and Peterborough going live, with the following crews being the first to convey patients in the region:
Luke Squibb, Head of Operations for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, said ‘It is really positive to see the launch of ePCR across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough which has been well received by staff and our hospital partners. Thank you to the project team, trainers and super users who have supported the successful launch.’
Dan Phillips, ePCR Clinical Lead, said ‘This represents the next big step in us bringing forward our new system that will deliver improved functionality for users and make accessing key information when on scene easier, supporting clinical decision making in the best interests of our patients.’
