Equality, Diversity and Human Rights week

Next week is Equality, Diversity and Human Rights week and the theme is ‘linking our thinking’.

Equality, diversity and inclusion are at the heart of the NHS strategy and enable us to deliver a more inclusive service and improved patient care.

Interim HR Director Ruth McAll said: “Equality, diversity and human rights (EDHR) are key concerns and a workforce that promotes these values is beneficial, as it allows us to represent the communities we serve.”

The HR team will be looking at ways to keep EDHR at the forefront of our working practices and would welcome your suggestions if there is something specific you’d like to see – please use the comments section below.

  • Equality is about creating a fairer society where everyone has the opportunity to fulfil their potential.
  • Diversity is about recognising and valuing difference in its broadest sense.
  • Inclusion is about an individual’s experience within the workplace and in wider society and the extent to which they feel valued and included.
