Essex police workshop: book your place today

Colleagues are invited to join a police workshop about options they have if they suffer abuse in the line of duty.

The Essex Police seminar, which will take place on 13h June, will help you to understand the formal criminal justice and informal ‘out of court’ options open to you.

Anne Wright, EEAST’s Local Security Management Specialist, said: “I really believe this is a great opportunity for both managers and staff to learn what their rights are and what type of response they are realistically likely to get from Police. The first half hour or so after an act of aggression incident is reported to EOC or a DLO is vital in staff’s perception of how they are being supported and think this will assist everyone to understand what can or can’t be done in the aftermath. “

The workshop will be held at the Sports Pavilion at Essex Police HQ, Springfield, Chelmsford, and will start at 9.15am with coffee and registration, and ending at 1pm with a buffet lunch.

There are 60 places available; your mileage will be paid for, but you will need to come in your own time (no overtime is available).

If you would like to book a place, please email Anne.
