Free oncology conference

Manual handling ambulance  credited to SCAS

Macmillan Cancer Support is offering free places at its National Acute Oncology Conference in October – and ambulance staff are invited to attend.

Running on 19th October in Birmingham, the day will cover:

  • the importance of acute oncology
  • vague symptoms management
  • recognising the frail patient
  • the management of diarrhoea
  • sepsis 6 and neutropenic sepsis
  • advice line developments
  • acute oncology and primary care
  • the national picture
  • integrating oncology services within acute medicine and ambulance care.

The conference has been organised by NHS England’s Acute Oncology Group and Macmillan Cancer Support.
