Gearing up for charity football tournament

The principles of the Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Programme (JESIP) will be temporarily abandoned in part of Cambridgeshire when a charity tournament kicks off.

Representatives from EEAST and colleagues from Cambridgeshire Constabulary and Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service will compete against each other for the Blue Light Football Tournament.

Matches will be played at Peterborough United Football Club on Friday 26th May and will raise funds for the Road Victims Trust.

Teams from the ambulance service, police, fire service and veterans from all three emergency services will take part in the tournament, which will run from 10am to 4pm.

Spectators are being urged to make a donation on entry to raise funds for the charity, which offers free support services to people in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire who have been affected by fatal road collisions.

A JustGiving page has also been set up by organisers to raise money for the Road Victims Trust http://ow.ly/KxSh30b9Ag6
