Today (30th November) BBC media outlets across the country will be shining the spotlight on ambulance services – and you can get involved.
The ‘BBC Ambulance Day’ national news coverage will span across radio and TV, with local BBC radio outlets and BBC Look East also taking part with us here at EEAST. With special behind the scenes access to our service, BBC journalists are covering an ambulance ride-out and reporting from our emergency control rooms, and will be doing live and pre-recorded interviews across the day with Trust teams – including our Director of Service Delivery Kevin Brown.

Alongside showcasing the fantastic work of our staff and volunteers, we’re expecting the BBC to look at the national Ambulance Response Programme, the huge increase in 999 demand, our capacity, and hospital handover delays – all issues which have a huge impact on you and the work we do.
We hope this unprecedented insight into our work will help to put the challenges the ambulance service faces on the national agenda.
