Have you used Language Line UK?

RRV with blue lights

Treating a patient where there is a language barrier can be tricky.

The Trust’s telephone interpreting service, Language Line UK, can help you - whether you are on scene or in the control room.

If you are on scene with a patient, you can simply call Language Line and they will translate for you over the phone on loud speaker. If you are in EOC, you need to end the conversation with the caller and ask them not to call back; ring Language line and they will connect you and the caller to have a three-way conversation.

Language Line is available 24-hours a day, every day of the year and has interpreters available speaking more than 200 languages.

If you have used Language Line recently, we would like to know your feedback. Your comments will help us to improve the service.
