HCRT desk implemented in all control rooms

The health care referral team (HCRT) dispatch desks are now operational in all three EOCs; to deploy resources to urgent calls and all private and voluntary services.

The HCRT desk operates from Monday to Friday, from 8am – 8pm, but this can be extended during periods of high demand.

To ensure the HCRT desk has full communication with all HCRT and other resources, crews in Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire may be asked at the beginning of their shifts to change talk group.

Please log on via your normal base location talk group and the dispatch desk will advise whether to remain on the current channel or switch to talk group 150.

If you are asked to remain on the normal talk group, this will indicate the HCRT desk is unmanned.

Whilst radio is the preferred method of communication, the HCRT desk dispatcher can be contacted on 01603 888080 in Norwich EOC.
