Herts Valley launches end of life strategy

A strategy to ensure the best possible care is provided to people nearing the end of their life has been launched in Hertfordshire.

The strategy aims to help palliative and end of life patients to live as well as possible until they die. It seeks to ensure that carers and families of patients receive the right help and support at end of life and during bereavement, and also aims to give people the opportunity to discuss their care preferences, so people can be cared for and die in their place of choice.

The strategy has been developed with input from various teams, including Hertfordshire County Council, Herts Valleys End of Life Care Provider Group, and East and North Herts CCG.

You can read the full strategy here.
