Last weekend, a crew returning to an ambulance station in Bedfordshire found a member of the public leaving the premises, who had entered through a door that had been left open.
A member of staff was inside the station but did not hear the intruder, who was challenged at the time but appeared intoxicated.
Please remember the importance of ensuring all doors and windows are closed when exiting a station, especially during the hot weather. It is tempting to prop open doors but please do try to think of your own safety and that of your colleagues.
Luckily on this occasion the intruder did not confront any member of staff or take anything from the station.
