Latest JESIP newsletter shares new and improved response app and answers some common questions about major incidents

EEAST RRVs and amb on scene

The latest Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Programme (JESIP) newsletter is available online.

In this edition, JESIP launch their new and improved multi-agency response app.

The app is designed to act as a useful prompt for staff involved in an emergency response. It provides them with the ability to create and share a METHANE message, reminders about the five principles for joint working and the Joint Decision Model, and instructions for Airwave radio handsets.

The original app was released last year, and having listened to feedback, it has some existing enhanced features and new functions. The free app is available across a wide range of devices, including Windows.

The newsletter also offers news on the replacement for both JOL and Lessons Direct, information on ESMCP and ESN and some key guidance around the declaration of a major incident.
