Money raised for call handler’s daughter to have sensory room

Colchester colour run

Staff from Chelmsford EOC have completed the 5K Colchester colour run to raise money for call handler Matt’s daughter Iyla.

More than £800 has already been raised after Tracie, Keri, Tamsin, Wendy and Emma took part in the Colchester colour run at the end of last month.

Iyla has Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome and dad Matt Harvey will be putting the money towards creating a sensory room for her at home.

Tracie said: “The race was really fun and we are really happy with what we have raised for Iyla so far. Matt is an amazing young father and we would appreciate any further donations to benefit this lovely family further.”

After every kilometre of the run, coloured powder is showered over the runners, with each zone having a specific colour.
