New call handlers set for control

Five new recruits are ready and raring to take 999 calls as they finish their emergency call handler training on Friday (6th May).

The latest cohort of call handlers completed and passed their three week training. They will all now progress into Bedford and Norwich EOCs, where they will work alongside their mentors taking live 999 calls.

Phil Churchill, Training Lead for Norwich EOC, said: “I’m delighted to have worked with this group as they start their careers as colleagues of ours in EEAST.

“They have all worked incredibly hard to understand our working practices and how to process the different types of calls that we receive through our EOCs. I wish them all well as they begin the mentoring process and welcome them in to the Trust.”

Best of luck everyone and welcome to team EEAST!
