Gita Prasad has joined EEAST as Deputy Director of Business and Partnerships.

Gita came to the Trust from NHS Norfolk and Waveney Clinical Commissioning Group, where she was head of acute transformation and clinical programmes. She brings with her a wealth of health and social care experience, which includes being an operational head of community children’s services and delivering the Department of Health’s integrated care pilot in Norfolk.

Gita has also worked as business consultant, where she provided expertise in organisational development and integrated care, as well as evaluating one of the early social investment models in the UK.

Gita leads our Trust’s business and partnerships team, which is responsible for negotiating the core 999 contract, preparing business cases and business plans, developing stakeholder relationships across the region and supporting EEAST’s commercial work.

Gita, who is a Churchill Fellow and has a keen interest in reducing inequalities, said: “I am excited to be working at EEAST with such dedicated and caring colleagues. I have had a very warm welcome to the Trust and look forward to meeting teams in the near future.”

Gita has two sons at university and enjoys singing and playing music, as well as chairing an award-winning choir in Norfolk.
