New trial for medicines management audits is coming

Software that will allow you to submit audits for medicines management online is being trialled next month.

The system, AuditR, will be trialled in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire and HART (Melbourn) during May. If the trial is successful, it will then be rolled out across the Trust.

AuditR is a web based programme which is accessible from any internet connection. The change will enable all audits to be completed and submitted electronically at the time of audit, instead of filling in a paper copy and submitting it online. This eases the process and saves time. It will still be possible to complete a paper copy then submit online afterwards, if you can’t do it online at the time.

There are also a series of dashboards available which shows live progress and the compliance levels of the audits, making it easier than ever to monitor the audits for your area.

You can access the AuditR software via the East24 ‘quick links’ page and click on AuditR, or directly via www.auditR.com .

You will need a user account set up. Everyone who regularly performs medicines management audits will be set up automatically and emailed their log-in details.

The new system is very straightforward and easy to use, and is already being used by the Trust to submit ACQI, NACPI and IPC audits.

AuditR’s manufacturers are working on some elements of the reporting and these should be fully functioning soon, but this will not affect the submitting of audits during the trial period.
