Next week is our EOC takeover!

The important work of the Trust’s emergency operations centre staff will be celebrated during an EOC ‘takeover week’.

The week, starting on Monday (18^th January), aims to highlight and promote the work of our call handlers, dispatchers and other control room staff like the critical care desk, incident command desk, GP triage line and our clinical support desk clinicians.

The Trust’s Twitter and Facebook pages will be dedicated to EEAST EOC – so make sure to follow using @EastEnglandAmb or East England Ambulance. Plus, the communications team will be highlighting some of the abusive and inappropriate calls the Trust receives and will be sharing blogs, videos and infographics to give an insight into EOC and remind the public to use 999 wisely.

As part of the EOC takeover, we’re keen to highlight some of the inappropriate calls that we receive every day; if you have any examples that you’re happy to share (keeping patient confidentiality at all times), please email Media Officer Adam, with the CAD number.
