Nominate a colleague for a health hero award

Do you know a colleague who is a true hero to both their patients and their team?

Then the National Skills Academy for Health wants to hear from you.

Together with UNISON, it has put together the ‘health heroes awards’, aiming to celebrate health workers across the UK. From healthcare assistants, assistant practitioners to maintenance and administrative staff, you can nominate a colleague for either one of two awards: 

• clinical support worker of the year
• operational services worker of the year.

Entrants can be put forward by their line manager, supervisor, UNISON branch or colleague. There will be a short application form to complete and you just need to make sure the nominee is happy to be put forward.

The deadline for entries is midnight on 23^rd September, and the winners will be announced at an award ceremony in London at UNISON headquarters on 29^th November.
