Political activity ahead of the General Election

Side of RRV with lozenge

As the countdown starts to the 2015 General Election, we’ve put together a staff briefing to indicate how we need to engage with all politicians in the in the pre-election period known as ‘purdah’.

From today (30th March), MPs in the region are no longer MPs and instead have the same footing as their Prospective Parliamentary Candidate colleagues. Purdah is a convention for all public sector bodies which prevents announcements and activities which could influence or be seen to influence the election and avoid any political bias which could be interpreted as an organisation affiliating with one particular party.

Please follow the link to this briefing.
