Professional Discussion: mental capacity, advanced care planning, and Power of Attorney

Ambulance line up blue sky

Ambulance crews often come into contact with patients with complex needs. Preparation for such cases is vital to ensure the highest quality care is delivered at all times.

Suekie Stannard, Paramedic from Ipswich, brings us the first case in our exciting new series of professional discussions, from a difficult call she attended.

Chelle Farnan, NHS England Liberty Protection Safeguards (LPS) Clinical Lead and Co-Chair of the National LPS Clinical Group, joins us to offer expert advice on the complexities of the case.

Please join us on 7 October 2022 at 10am to take part in the discussion, aimed to maximise learning from the case, offer you CPD, and promote best practice and better care for our patients.

This is an interactive session and taking part in the discussion is highly encouraged.

Book your space on this event on Evolve via this link.

If you would like to submit a case which you have attended for inclusion in the series, please send via email to Ant Brett, Head of Quality Improvement and Professional Standards Anthony.Brett@eastamb.nhs.uk.
