Progression in the Trust

With the launch of the Paramedic Degree apprenticeship programme the trust now has 3 Apprenticeship routes for progression.

As the Paramedic profession evolves it is essential that academic development matches clinical development, this aligns with other healthcare professions and ensures our skills and qualifications are transferable.

To support this every member of staff within the trust can access functional skills courses to achieve a foundation academic qualification enabling them to apply for progression opportunities when they arise.

EEAST is partnered with West Suffolk College who provide internal staff with access to free Level 2 Maths and English Functional Skills courses. The College also provides excellent support if you have Additional Learning Needs. If this is something you would like access to please email Apprenticehsips@eastamb.nhs.uk detailing which course you would like to be enrolled on, once referred West Suffolk College will contact you with the next available course dates. You can then work with your locality teams to agree a suitable time to undertake this course.

Further information on what the course entails can be found on their website: Maths and English (wsc.ac.uk).
