Reminder: have you signed your ‘opt out’ form?

Do you wish to work more than 48 hours a week?

Then you will need to sign an individual agreement. This is under the provisions of the Working Times Regulations and is often referred to as an ‘opt out’ agreement.

The Trust is committed to the wellbeing of all staff, but also recognises that some of you may wish to work in excess of the statutory 48-hours working week limit. This agreement protects your rights, and prevents employers from insisting that their staff work long hours.

An envelope should have been attached to your August payslip which includes two opt out forms; one for your personal records, and one to be returned to HR Services. You can also find these on East24. Please mark it for the attention of Amy Trussell, and remember it can also be returned via internal mail or scanned and emailed to amy.trussell@eastamb.nhs.uk.
