Reminder: labelling GlucaGen

Yellow kit bag

Please remember that GlucaGen medication is stored outside of refrigeration, which reduces the amount of time we can use the medication.

This is 18 months from the date it’s taken from the fridge, or the expiry date marked, whichever is sooner.

A label should be applied indicating the date it was removed, and the date to be destroyed. The amended expiry date must never extend the manufacturer expiry date.

If you have any GlucaGen which is not labelled, please contact your duty locality officer (DLO).
